ABOUT THE PASTOR
Rev Mike Ekah is the founding pastor of the City of Life Christian Centre, a church
based ministry which began in 1995, with headquarters and branches in Lagos,
Nigeria. Born to the family of the late Elder Jonathan Ekah, Mike grew up with a
sense of divine purpose, when at a very tender age, after he began learning to
read and write, he was presented with a copy of the King James Version of the
Holy Bible and was told the circumstances surrounding his birth. Being the only
son in a family of ten, Mike learnt from his parents that they had believed God for
a male child after they had six children, all female, until a man of God transferred
to Pastor the local branch of the church where they belonged, prophesied to
them, that Mike’s mother would be pregnant, that the baby when born would be a
boy, his name should be called Michael, and that the moment he was born, he
should be given a copy of the Holy Bible and a hymn book, for his mission on
earth will be to preach the Gospel.
Before he was called into the ministry, Mike had served in the church both as a
choir member, worship leader and a lay preacher. He was called into the five-fold
ministry in 1988, with a clear mission to free humanity from Satan’s captivity, sin,
sickness or disease, poverty and all forms of demonic oppression. The Lord also
assured him in a vision saying: “signs and wonders are in your hands, you need
to fast and pray”.
Upon graduation from the Christ Discipleship Seminary in 1990, Mike served in
the church of his birth as a parish pastor of four local churches of which he
pioneered one. He served both in the village and in two major cities of Nigeria,
until the Lord led him to begin the City of Life Christian Centre Int’l in May 1995.
Rev Mike Ekah attended and studied theology at the Christ Discipleship Seminary,
Living Praise Bible Institute, Africa Campus and the Lagos State University
{LASU}. He has also gone through several leadership training programmes.
Rev. Mike's ministry has spanned over two decades. He is a dynamic preacher
and teacher of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He delivers the gospel in a
simple, down to earth, practical, passionate and exciting manner that leaves his
hearers fully impacted.
His passion for souls has seen him taking the Gospel of the Lord Jesus to several
nations of the world. He ministers under a powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit with
signs following. Many testimonies have continued to trail his ministry.
He is an author and a good singer. He is the General Overseer of the City of Life
Christian Centre and the President of EALIM.
Mike Ekah is happily married to Mrs. Peace Ekah, who holds a Bachelors degree
in Business Administration. Both of them are together actively involved in the
ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are blessed with three Children, David
Mazino Ekah, Joyce Kume Ekah and Emmanuel Joshua Orezi Ekah.

ABOUT THE CHURCH
The City of Life Christian Centre Int’l was born out of God’s prophetic word to His
servant to go to Lagos and start a church, while yet he was in Benin City preparing to
travel overseas to study.
The church began on the 28th day of May 1995 in a Nursery and Primary School
building, with seven adults and eight children. From the very first service, we started
not as a fellowship but a church.
Although the journey so far has not been an easy one, yet we celebrate the
faithfulness of God who has brought us thus far. From that very humble beginning of
seven adults and eight children in a Nursery and Primary School, the church has
grown to have two branches in Lagos, while we are working toward starting more
churches both in the City and rural places.
